NUMS Entry Test is an entry test held once every year for admission in medical universities offering MBBS/BDS like AMC (Army Medical College) and other as listed below. NUMS Entry Test is held by NUMS (National University of Medical Sciences) which is located in Rawalpindi. NUMS Entry Test is also affiliated with NTS who organize the test.

NUMS ENTRY TEST DETAILS
NUMS Entry Test is going to be held on Sunday, 01 September 2024 10:00 AM, which has been confirmed by NUMS. The online registration for the test will start from Thursday, 20 June 2024 and end on Wednesday, 10 July 2024. Online Registration for Entry Test with Late Fee ends on Wednesday, 24 July 2024.
Following is the NUMS test format, MDCAT (NUMS) – 2024 shall comprise of two components:
(1) PART ‘A’ (95% weightage)
Shall consist of 150 ‘One Best Option Type’ Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs) with stipulated time
of 150 minutes with the following breakdown:
- Biology – 35%
- Chemistry – 25%
- Physics – 25%
- English – 10%
(2) PART ‘B’ Psychological Test (5% weightage)
Shall consist of 100 ‘One Best Option Type’ Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs) with stipulated time
of 30 minutes.
There shall be no negative marking.

Universities Accepting NUMS Entry Test
NUMS Entry Test is applicable to different public and private universities. The list for public and private universities who accepted NUMS Entry Test is given below:

Eligibility Criteria
NUMS Entry Test’s eligibility criteria is the same as for the eligibility criteria last year. All Pakistani nationals and students holding dual nationalities can apply as well for the test.
The candidate must have passed Intermediate/HSSC Pre-Medical Group or equivalent examination (A-Levels etc) with minimum 70 % marks. However the candidates awaiting result can also apply and will be required to submit their result later if admission is secured.
The candidates applying for NUMS Entry Test of O&A Level or equivalent qualification must have their equivalence certificate issued from IBCC (Inter Board Committee of Chairmen) office. Since the candidate whilst applying for the test might not have his equivalence certificate for A-Level or equivalent, he/she can apply on basis of O-Level equivalence certificate.
How To Apply
Registration Form for MDCAT (NUMS) – 2024 shall be filled online.
Steps for MDCAT (NUMS) – 2024 Registration:
Click on the Signup for first time registration
- Enter your full name (as per SSC/O level / 10th Grade Certificate).
- Enter your active/functional email address.
- Select Country code and enter Valid & Correct Mobile Number of applicant or parents only
- Enter captcha
- Click on Register/Signup
After registration, Login & Password will be shared via SMS on provided mobile number
Note: For International mobile numbers, the Password will be displayed on screen.
Online Registration application is divided into 5 Steps:
- Step 1: Test Center Country
- Click on “Select Test Country” to choose your desired country in which you want to appear in MDCAT(NUMS)
- After Selecting desired Country click “Select Country”
- Step 2: Pay Fee Via (Kuickpay/Challan)
- Once you click on “Pay Fee”, new window for payment will be open
- Payment can be made via Debit/Credit card, Invoice (Challan) or Internet/Mobile App/OTC
- Payment via Debit/Credit card: If Debit/Credit card option is used for payment please click “Pay Now”, enter valid card number, card expiry & CVV & proceed by clicking on “Pay Now”.
- Payment via Invoice (Challan): If Invoice option is used for payment click “Download Invoice” print the invoice (challan) and visit any nearest Askari bank to deposit invoice (challan).
- Payment via Internet/Mobile App/OTC: If internet/Mobile/OTC option is used for payment click “How to Pay” to check payment process for online banking options. For more information, “click here to see the list”.
Note: (Unique Consumer/ Kuickpay ID is used for payment through Internet banking & Bank counter)
After the payment of fee, switch to the MDCAT Home page & refresh the page to get updated status from bank and proceed further.
- Step 3: Profile/CNIC Image
- Click on “Upload Images” to upload the Passport size latest photograph with blue background. (Unprofessional photographs/Selfie not allowed) & save profile Image.
- Upload Clear front side of CNIC/B Form/NICOP/Passport & save Image
After Successful uploading the images click “Back to Home”
- Step 4: Personal Information / Test Centre
- Click on “Update Personal Information” & provide the required fields
- Choose desired Exam City/Station Selection
Note: The candidates MUST select two unique Cites/Stations in order of preference for appearance in the MDCAT (NUMS)-2024. However, based upon seating capacity available, the University reserves the right to shift any candidate to another location.
- Click on “Save” to complete Personal Information/Test Centre step.
- Click on “Back to Home” to complete application.
- Step 5: Application Status
- Click the check box & “Submit Application”.
Once you click on “submit application” button. Following statement will be displayed on your screen:
“Your Application is submitted”
Note:
- Application shall be submitted through online portal only. No hard copies are required.
- The Mobile Number and Email provided on the Registration Form should be entered correctly and it should be functional for contact as and when required by the University.
