However, NUST does not offer scholarships on the bases of marks scored in NET or according to the Merit Position. But instead, the university provides financial assistance to students who score a good GPA in the academic semesters to follow
Merit Based Scholarships for Undergraduates:
NUST provides Financial aid to a number of students, enrolled in any program. A student is provided a certain amount of money (monthly) depending upon the score of their GPA.
Eligibility Criteria:
Following is the eligibility criteria for UG students:-
- The student must be one of the top scorers in their section (top 3 students are eligible)
- And must have a GPA above 3.5
How much amount is provided?

Merit Based Scholarships for Masters and PhD:
Eligibility Criteria:
Following is the eligibility criteria for MS and PhD students:-
- 20 Masters students and 4-5 PhD students each year.
- Must have a minimum of 2.2 CGPA (Combined GPA).
- Additionally, 1st Semester NUST GPA should be 3.5 or more.
- Masters student is required to work as TA (teacher’s assistant) for Bachelors programs serving 10 hours per week.
- PhD student is required to work as TA for Masters programs serving 10 hours per week.
- Finally, scholarship is continued depending on the availability of funds, maintained semester GPA> 3.5, attendance in six monthly progress seminars and of course good conduct of student.
How much amount and research grant is provided?

Also, Students having high research potential in them are provided merit-based scholarship and research grants to help with their academic & research progress.
