Types of NTS Exams: Depending on the program you want to join, you will need to take one of the following NTS exams:
NTS (GAT Subject): This exam is for all PhD programs, and the score remains valid for two years.
NTS (NAT): This exam is needed for all undergraduate (BS) programs, and the score is valid for one year.
NTS (GAT General): This exam is required for all graduate (MS) programs, with a score validity of two years.
COMSATS Merit List Criteria
For Bachelor Degree:
Generally, For BS Programs, Matric or equivalent counts as 10% of the merit, and Intermediate or equivalent counts 40% in the merit list, and the big chunk of the merit is for NTS NAT Test, which is 50%.
For Master Degree:
- Matric or equivalent – 10%
- Intermediate or equivalent – 15%
- Bachelor or equivalent – 30%
- NTS GAT Test – 45%

In short, candidates waiting for their F.A./F.Sc. or A-Level results may also apply on the basis of a Hope Certificate. Since these students cannot provide their F.Sc. results, they will be granted provisional admission, which will be confirmed upon submission of their results, meeting the required marks percentage within one month from the first day of classes.
