The University of Engineering and Technology (UET) is one of the oldest and prime institutions in Pakistan.  This institute is working as a leader in engineering education with a vision of generating knowledge for the global competitive benefit and becoming a leading world-class research University.  It has highly regarded rankings both in Pakistan and other parts of the world.

The very first topic of this blog is related to the Programs offered by The University of Engineering and Technology. UET  guide (eligibility criteria for general admissions ):

• Candidates should have a minimum of 60% in Intermediate/DAE or equivalent foreign qualification
• Candidates should appear in the entry test for the preferred degree
• Entry test subjects should be selected by keeping in mind the subject combinations because the candidate will only be eligible for programs relevant to these subjects  (Subject combinations will be mentioned in the next blog)
• A minimum 60% CGPA of 2.5/4.0 is needed If you desire to get admitted based on B.Sc. Engineering Technology or equivalent degree,
• Minimum C grade in A-Levels Physics, Maths/Biology, and Chemistry/Computer Science
• Minimum 50% aggregate marks according to Merit Calculation formula
• You are supposed to be a valid resident of the areas from where you seek admission
• Meeting physique and eyesight criteria laid down in the medical certificate is also mandatory ( Not for every student)

UET conditional admission 2020:

Admissions will be done before Inter Part 2  or equivalent result comes out so please keep the following points in mind.

•  Admission will be canceled if you fails to pass the criteria set by UET i.e
• secure 60% in their Intermediate DAE or BSc Engineering Technology or other equivalent degrees
• Admission will  also be cancelled if A-Level applicant fail to secure C grade in the required subjects.
• Fees will be compensated

UET admissions schedule:

● The admissions test is conducted in the middle of June each year

• Admissions officially begin in the first week of July every year
• Applications can be submitted until the end of July every year
• First merit list is released in the first week of August every year
• Classes usually begin in Fall with other sessions already in movement.

UET merit calculation:

The merit calculation considers the following:

• Intermediate results for the subjects
• DAE or BSc. Engineering Technology / equivalent for reserved seats only
• Entry test
