What is NET?
NET is NUST’s own entry test which you need to clear in order to make into NUST university. Now, you must be wondering: From where you can prepare for NET?
Well, the test comprises of the topics from your F.SC books. However, this may be challenging for the A-level students.
What is the test pattern for NET?
The NET test consists of 5 portions as follows:
- Mathematics 40% (80 MCQs)
- Physics 30% (60 MCQs)
- Chemistry 15% (30 MCQs)
- English 10% (20 MCQs)
- Intelligence 5% (10 MCQs)
Thus, this makes a total of 200 MCQs and time allotted to solve this test is 3 hours.
Merit Formula for NET:
Following is the weightage to calculate the merit for admissions in engineering programs:
- 75% NUST Entry Test
- 15% HSSC / A level / Equivalent / DAE or HSSC Part-I
- 10% Matriculation / 0 Level
