Entry Test:
There is one thing you need to know about is that IST doesn’t conduct its own entry test. The results of tests mentioned are accepted by IST if you want to apply for Undergraduate Programs offered by IST
- NAT which is conducted by NTS in every month
- HAT which is conducted by ETC-HEC
- NET which is conducted by NUST Islamabad
- ECAT which is conducted by UET Lahore
- ETEA which is conducted by UET Peshawar
- Entry Test for Engineering Programs conducted by MUET Jamshoro
- Entry Test for Engineering Programs conducted by NED Karachi
- ACT which is conducted by ACT-USA
You can appear in any one of the tests mentioned above and can apply for IST with the highest score you got in the tests.
Eligibility Criteria Set by Institute of Space Technology
Engineering
- You need to have SSC/ Equivalent Certificate (Science) with 60% marks
- FSc Pre-Engineering/ Equivalent Certificate with minimum 60% overall marks is mandatory
- Valid NAT-1E/ HAT-UG-E or SAT-II (Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics level–II)
Computer Science
- You need to have SSC/ Equivalent Certificate (Science)
- Minimum 50% Aggregate Marks in FSc Pre-Engineering/ ICS/ Equivalent Certificate with Mathematics & Physics is mandatory
- Valid NAT-IE/ NAT-ICS/ HAT-UG-E/ HAT-UG-CS or SAT-II (Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics level–II)
Space Science
- SSC/ Equivalent Certificate is mandatory
- FSc Pre-Engineering/ ICS/ Equivalent Certificate with Mathematics & Physics is vital to secure admission
- No entry test required to secure admission in programs from this department
Physics
- SSC/ Equivalent Certificate is mandatory
- FSc Pre-Engineering/ ICS/ Equivalent Certificate with Mathematics & Physics is vital to secure admission
- No entry test required to secure admission in programs from this department
Mathematics:
- SSC/ Equivalent Certificate is mandatory
- FSc / ICS / General Science (with Math & Physics/ Statistics) / DAE / Equivalent with Mathematics and Physics/ Statistics is vital to secure admission
- No entry test required to secure admission in programs from this department
Institute of Space Technology Affiliations:
IST (Institute of Space Technology affiliations) is affiliated with Space and Upper Atmosphere Research Commission (SUPARCO), Pakistan Engineering Council (PEC), Higher Education Commission (HEC Pakistan), and Washington Accord.
Note :
- If you are A-Level / Cambridge/ Students with any qualification other than FSC/ ICS/ DAE then you are supposed to obtain IBCC equivalent certificate
- Good news is Pre-medical students with additional math or appearing for additional math papers are eligible to apply in related programs
- HSSC/ A-Level final result awaiting students are eligible to apply but admission will be assured after the result
- International applicants are also obligated to execute other requirements set by the Higher Education Commission (HEC) for the admission of international students in Pakistani Higher Education Institutions/ Universities.
